What is Anxiety?

Overview by

Medical Marijuana Treatment Clinics of Florida

Anxiety, by definition, is the natural response of our body to stress. Often, anxiety is accompanied by feelings of fear and uncertainty. While everyone experiences stress and anxiety, those with anxiety disorders will often suffer from magnified symptoms which have a dramatic impact on their quality of life.

What is Stress?

Overview by

The Cannigma

Stress is a normal reaction to demanding or threatening situations in life. Our bodies have psychological and physical reactions for dealing with stress—by releasing hormones that raise your heart rate and raise your blood pressure. When the stressful situation ends, according to the Mayo Clinic, “your body is meant to return to a normal, relaxed state. Unfortunately, the nonstop complications of modern life mean that some people’s alarm systems rarely shut off.” When stress levels don’t abate, chronic stress can begin to cause health problems.

There is an entire system in our bodies that interacts with cannabis. It helps regulate key functions of the body, including mood, metabolism, learning and memory, sleep, immunity – and pain.

“Cytokines are signaling proteins that ultimately recruit inflammation to happen. Cytokines will trigger specific immune cells to release inflammation or actually even reduce inflammation, given the right circumstances. […] CBD actually modulates the cytokine production.”
